10 Major Doctrines Of The Bible Pdf

The Bible is the most important book of ideas about how to live. It contains many different stories, poems, and prophecies that tell us what God thinks about us humans. The Bible was written over a thousand years by 40 different authors, who lived in all kinds of different places around the world. But despite its diversity of thought and style, there are certain teachings they all agree on:

God’s creation

God is the Creator of the universe. He created all that is, in heaven and on earth. On the first day of creation (Genesis 1:1–2), God made light and separated it from darkness. This separation was made possible through God’s word (Hebrews 11:3). On each subsequent day, God continued to create by speaking His words into existence new things such as oceans, landmasses, plants and animals…

God created man and woman in His own image (Genesis 1:26–27). Man’s purpose was to have dominion over all creatures on earth—a responsibility which he failed miserably at due to sin (Romans 8:19–21). Since then, God has been waiting patiently for man’s redemption…

God created the world with certain purposes in mind; namely His glory (Isaiah 43:7) and man’s enjoyment of it (Revelation 4:11).

Original sin and the fall

The doctrine of the fall asserts that humanity has been corrupted by sin. It is this doctrine that sets apart Christianity from other religions and philosophies. The Bible teaches that all people are born in a state of sin, which means we have all done things that are wrong and sinful, even though we did not choose to do so (Romans 3:23; 5:12).

We can be forgiven for our sins through faith in Jesus Christ and His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). Because we have been saved from eternal punishment by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross (Romans 6:23), we no longer bear the consequences of original sin or our own individual sins. However, this does not mean God will forget about our past actions—He still keeps track of them so He can judge us accordingly when we stand before Him one day! As Romans 2:6 says, “God will repay each person according to what he has done.”

Grace

Grace is the unmerited favor of God. God’s love for us and His mercy motivate Him to provide salvation freely without our having earned it. Grace is also the power of God to save us from our sins, which we cannot do ourselves. Grace is the means by which we are saved; it comes to us through faith in Jesus Christ

The doctrines of grace are so important because they teach that salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned or extracted through any amount of good works or religious rituals. Our efforts never add up to anything more than filthy rags in comparison with what Jesus did on the cross for us (Isaiah 64:6). As Paul said, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this not from yourselves, it is the gift…” (Ephesians 2:8)

Salvation is a gift from God

Salvation is a gift from God. Salvation cannot be earned by any act of ours, good works or otherwise (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins when He died on the cross for us (1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 2:2). We can’t buy it with money or earn it by trying to please God. In fact, if we try to earn salvation by doing good works, we can never do enough good things to save ourselves from God’s wrath against sin (Romans 3:23). But because of His great love and mercy, He sent His Son to die for us so that we could have eternal life if we confess our faith in Him as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10).

Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary

You were born of the Virgin Mary, so Jesus is your brother, too!

Jesus is the Son of God. He was the first person ever to be born by a virgin and live on earth. Jesus made a messiah out of himself by dying for all our sins – which means that if you believe in him as your savior, you will go to heaven when you die instead of going to hell.

Jesus is also known as “The Son of Man”. This means that he came down here from heaven because God wanted him to save us from sin and death forever more. If you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior then there’s nothing stopping you from getting into heaven after death! Just make sure that these things happen before then: 1) Repentance 2) Accepting baptism through total immersion (or just Biblical baptism). 3) Don’t drink alcohol or smoke pot anymore than once per week (this includes any other drugs). 4) Don’t have sex with anyone until marriage 5) Donate 10%+ annually 6) Learn about what it means for someone else (someone who doesn’t even know about this stuff yet) being chosen for salvation even though they’ve never heard about it before(i mean just think about how much money was spent on advertising alone during election season last year).

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are important sacraments.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are important sacraments. Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration, which means that it conveys to us all the benefits of our new life in Christ. It is also a sign of our identity with Him who died, was buried, and rose again for us all.

Baptism is “the sacrament of the dead”, since it signifies not only our death with Christ but also resurrection into newness of life; through baptism we die to sin and rise again into repentance and faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-5). Baptism is “the sacrament of the living” because it signifies what we experience when we receive this renewal through faith in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:21).

The Bible is the most important book of ideas about how to live

The Bible is the most important book of ideas about how to live.

The Bible contains two accounts of creation, and these two accounts are very different from one another. The first account tells us that God created the world in six days (Genesis 1:1-2:3). The second account begins with the words “In the beginning” (Genesis 1:1) and ends with “this is the account of heaven and earth when they were created” (Genesis 2:4b-25), which implies that it was written at a later time than Genesis 1. In this second version, God creates man and woman on Day 6 after everything else has been made but before even birds fly or fish swim! It also says that Adam was given dominion over all things (Genesis 1:28), while in other places it describes animals as being given dominion over one another (e.g., Psalm 8).

This has serious implications for how we understand ourselves as human beings because if we believe the first account then we may think of ourselves as having been created by a loving creator who cares about our welfare; but if we believe in both accounts then it becomes much harder to make sense out of how our existence fits into all this activity around us since there seems little room left for us at all!

I hope that this post has helped you to understand some of the major doctrines of the Bible. These are just ten of them, but there are many more that we could discuss in detail. If you want to learn more about what it means for Christians to follow Jesus Christ, ask your pastor or priest!
